Next Week’s Trade Talks Take Center Stage
China makes headline news once again as a trade deal between the two largest economic powers isn’t close, according to U.S. administrators. This realization rattled investors already on edge over concerns that signs of a slowdown in the global economy are spreading. All ears will be trained on next week’s U.S./China trade discussions in hope that a deal will be struck before higher tariffs are slated to take effect in March. 10-year Treasury yields have come in this week to a low of 2.66%.
