TAG Industrial Market Watch: February 9, 2019

“It used to be that one shareholder was at the table in terms of commercial real estate development. Now, it can be the entire table. In the past few years, this capital has begun to come with green policies and requirements with company environmental goals like reducing their carbon footprint. This is true for industrial assets especially since they have traditionally been viewed as a less visually appealing. A LEED certified building can not only help with these goals but may assist in energy and maintenance savings. All in all, everyone can get behind green development initiatives as long as it is cost effective and investor return is still present.”
