TAG Industrial Watch: February 6, 2021
“According to Moody’s Analytics, warehouse/distribution space absorbed 35.4 million square feet in Q4 of 2020, the highest since Q1 of 2019 when 70.7 million square feet were absorbed. In addition, rents for warehouse/distribution assets increased from 0.3% and 0.4% in Q3 of 2020 to 0.4% and 0.6% in Q4 of the same year. Jobs increasing at a rate of 6.5% since March 2020 also reflect the health of the sector (Moody’s). While many remain cautious with industrial, it can’t be denied that the pandemic has caused some retailers to go out of business or commit to less brick and mortar.” -Adam Abushagur
