Last year was a year like none other. Still, Dallas-Fort Worth’s commercial real estate market held strong, with some sectors—especially industrial—performing exceptionally well. The number and quality of nominations in our ninth annual Commercial Real Estate Awards reflected the diversity, size, and strength of the industry.

After spending several days reviewing all of the entries, the editors of D CEO have selected 82 finalists in 21 categories. They represent many of the region’s largest transactions and projects, but also several smaller deals that are having a big impact in their sectors or neighborhoods.

All finalists will be recognized in the April issue of D CEO. Winners will be revealed at a special celebration this spring.

New categories for 2021 include Emerging Commercial Real Estate Professional, Best New Data Center, and Best Retail, Entertainment, or Hospitality Project.

This year, Shawn Todd of Todd Interests will be honored with the Pioneer Award, and Linda McMahon of The Real Estate Council will be honored with the Outstanding Community Service Award. Be watching for extended stories on these two leaders in the coming weeks.
