Domestic Turbulence and Global Concerns Vexing Investors

U.S. 10-year Treasury yields have continued to float in the mid-2.70 percent range after steadily climbing last week to 2.79 percent. Not much has quelled market concerns over the last few weeks as investors look for clues on both global trade and the health of the U.S. economy. Adding to investor frustration, the partial shutdown of government offices has hampered the flow of economic data on the world’s largest economy. Political infighting over the government’s funding and global economic concerns are adding to investor angst. Meanwhile, corporate earnings reports have been mixed.
