TAG Industrial Market Watch: November 3, 2018

“Bridging the gap between the old and the new is proving to be a delicate balance both financially and logistically. With the demand for industrial investments set so high, assets of all classes are being scooped up. Because technology and amenities for employees are trending in the competitive market, many improvements are having to be made to older buildings including maintenance repairs, capital expenditures, and others that improve useful life of the property.

Speaking of investing in the times, a good example is green initiatives with big payoffs. The majority of people are on board with green measures and infrastructure for environmental reasons, but some aren’t up to date on other benefits they provide. These initiatives have shown to lower operating costs through energy efficiency, be more sustainable through things like disastrous weather events, and conserve water. Not to mention, LEED-certified buildings have been shown to provide higher satisfaction for employees, making the company more competitive by extension.”
